Learn how to pick the right menthol cigarette for your taste and budget. This guide covers key factors like menthol strength, brand quality, and price.
Quick Answer
Choose a menthol cigarette based on your preferred menthol intensity, cigarette size, and budget. For a premium, slim, and refreshing option, consider Esse Menthol Super Slims.
Menthol Strength and Flavor Profile
Menthol cigarettes range from a subtle cooling sensation to an intense icy blast. If you are new to menthol, start with a lighter option. Regular menthol smokers often prefer a stronger, more consistent hit.
Cigarette Size and Format
Super slim cigarettes like the Esse Menthol Super Slims offer a different draw and burn rate compared to regular king-size or 100s. Slims are often favored for their elegant appearance and slower, cooler smoke. Consider if you prefer a standard or slim format.
Price and Value
Price is a major factor. Some premium menthol brands cost significantly more. The Esse Menthol Super Slims, for example, are priced at USD 123.50 for 10 packs (20s each), which is a competitive price compared to the catalog comparison price of USD 190.00. Always compare per-cigarette cost.
Decision Rules for Choosing Menthol Cigarettes
- Rule 1: Match Menthol Strength to Your Experience: If you are a new menthol smoker, choose a brand known for a mild cooling effect. If you are experienced, look for brands that emphasize intense menthol. Start with a lighter menthol if unsure; you can always move to a stronger option.
- Rule 2: Decide on Cigarette Size and Format: Super slims (like Esse) burn slower and are narrower. Standard king-size cigarettes offer a more traditional draw. Choose based on your preferred smoking pace and feel. Test a single pack of each format before buying in bulk.
- Rule 3: Compare Price Per Cigarette: Always check the price per single cigarette, especially when buying in cartons. Premium brands may offer better value when purchased in multi-pack deals. Look for price comparisons like the Esse Menthol Super Slims' discounted price of USD 123.50 against a comparison price of USD 190.00.
